Butter anyone?

Just so everyone is clear, if you have plastic butter dish sitting on the back burner on your stove, make sure that you either remove it, or double check which burner you just turned on under your refried beans. This will serve two purposes,
1. You beans will not cook at all if they are on the wrong burner.
2. Plastic butter dishes melt. rather quickly in fact. As does the butter. And you burner just may turn some lovely shade of aquamarine that your butter dish used to be.

Just spreading the knowledge, that's all

Oh, and melting plastic doesn't have the most excting scent either.

And I would like to add not to melt butter on High Power in the microwave - It starts exploding and blowing up all over the inside of your microwave.

You can guess how I know that.
