$155,000

I love animals. Dogs especially. I think they are great. We have 3 currently, and no matter how stupid they may be at times, we will never be without at least one.
That being said, I find it incredibly absurd that some family spent $155,000 to clone their dog. How dumb is that? We aren't talking about adopting a needy child and changing a persons life. We aren't even talking about adopting a shelter dog and giving them a home. No, we are talking about spending that kind of money on cloning your dead lab. Like there aren't enough labs running around. There is seriously something wrong with that.
Probably one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard of. Talk about an unhealthy attachment. Pets die. It just happens. It is part of life.

For that money, they could have built over 30 wells in Africa. But no, they have another dumb dog.
I really hope they think it is worth the investment. This dog will eventually die too.

How do you even discipline a dog that you spent $155,000 on? I don't think I would take them to the dog run or on a walk, what if something happened? You would be out over 100k. Duh.

Imagine if the dog gets out of their yard and hit by a car! BAM! GOOD BYE 155K!

There is no end to the stupidity of the human race.

And it certainly goes to show that money does not buy intelligence, but it apparently will buy you a living replica of your dead dog.

Did they say what the name of it was? Did they name it "Junior" or give it a new name... Maybe they can name it clone, or give it some kind of greek name that stands for $155,000. Or some kind of native american name that stands for "my owners are idiots".

These people seriously need to be checked into a mental institution!

They named it the same name as the other dog, then Encore, Lancelot Encore.
They believe he is kind of like the same dog, and that somehow he recognized them when he saw them and such. I think they are slightly off.
But hey, If you are the son of the founder of NASCAR, what else are going to do with all you money?

but didn't you just write that we should NOT judge people for their decisions? Who are you to say how much someone should spend on their dog? Just like who are other people to say that woman shouldn't have 8 babies?

You really need to decide who you are and be honest about it.
