Me

So a little while ago my friend Cassie had a post that was kind of an introduction to who she is and told some things that not everyone would know about her. I thought it was interesting and I learned a little bit about her in the process. So here is my attempt at the same, for anyone who may not know me that well.

First, I think it is important to let you know that I fear change. That may sound funny, but it is true. Almost everything else I have to say about myself can be traced back to this fact. So even if something isn't working, I am hesitant to change it just because it is familiar.
The thought of moving my furniture annoys me. The thought of moving to a different town gives me a migraine for 2 days. To even consider moving to a different state is enough to make me throw up. I am constantly in admiration of people who can do these things. I am married to one, so it is always interesting to deal with.
Lonnie and I dated in high school. We have been married almost 10 years. We even went to prom and homecoming together our senior year.
I am a VERY picky eater. Not for any real reason. I have what is jokingly referred to as "the list" it is a random list of food that I don't eat. There are several and it is a really long list. The top includes things like rice, bananas (or anything banana flavored), coffee, or anything that once lived in the sea. One of my friends even made me write it down once so she could take it with her to the store.
I LOVE to have people at my house. Entertaining almost gives me a high of sorts. If we go to long and don't have people around I kind of go stir crazy.
Cooking, baking and sewing are relaxing to me. I know some people can't stand them, but I just love all that stuff.
I grew up in our town. We moved here when I was 10. So my kids go to all the same stuff I did when I was little. Same Christmas concerts, I marched in the parades, went to the fireworks, so all that hometown stuff is really important to me. I know this is not the only town on Earth, and is very far from the best, but it is my home.
I believe God is real. Not in the in church only kind of way. I believe he talks to us. I believe that if we would just shut up and listen, we would be amazed at what we hear, maybe even audibly if we are quiet enough. I believe His presence can be felt, again if we are just still enough.
I am really picky about my sheets on my bed. I have been known to wake Lonnie up at night so that I can straighten them back up. The corners must line up or I can't sleep. Really kind of odd since I am not exactly a ducks in a row sort of person. (He doesn't exactly love this about me)
I am a really big procrastinator. I always have been, I seem to always get work done right under the wire.
I love McDonald's. It is one of my favorites. Always has been. When we were dating and would fight, Lonnie would take me there for a make up dinner, pretty easy huh?
That's about all I can think of that is anywhere close to interesting.
